The universe and everything in it.

The concept we are going to explore in todays post is unity. What is unity and how can we all possibly be just one being? We define the connectivity that we all share with the simple theory that we are one organism sharing the same experience. How does this relate to habit? We will explore the details of that in further podcasts.

“Unity can only be manifested by the Binary. Unity itself and the idea of Unity are already two.” -Buddha

Identification with your mind creates an opaque screen of concepts, labels, images, words, judgments, and definitions that blocks all true relationship. It comes between you and yourself, between you and your fellow man and woman, between you and nature, between you and God. It is this screen of thought that creates the illusion of separateness, the illusion that there is you and a totally separate “other.” You then forget the essential fact that, underneath the level of physical appearances and separate forms, you are one with all that is.

  1. Beautiful intro music to podcast.

I listened to the unity podcast and it I will try catch future pieces to learn more how it applies. My immediae reaction is that I have heard similar concept. Folks talking about not being separate. I could also see how it would check one’s ego in an all too often self centered society. On the other hand however, I wonder if this unity concept becomes ultimately philosophical. Does it matter, especially when we attempt physical description of space. The non material aspect of a person also has unique qualities. The self is quite distinct. It is from the self that I can perceive concepts even ones of unity. I existed before writing this comment, but the communication makes for special contact between self and self. Does this make sence to anyone?

So, my thought at this moment, is that sure there is both unity of all and unique self. And, everything I do and think in these mortal years is
    mainly an expression of self.

  2. I also listened to the unity podcast. My immediate reaction is that you really oughtn’t be podcasting while driving! Driving is nothing if not an “in the moment” undertaking. Please be safe. Thank you.
