The ultimate is when "someone's wrong" implicates you in something you don't want to be implicated in and they are clearly wrong - eg: You must prove them wrong to clear your name and gain peace of mind. I have been in this case where it really got to me - I think it would have been a great test of your worthy ideas.... Or should a case like this really be a case where there is an exception?

Robert, when I read the title of this podcast I immediately thought 'HA, this one is all about ME!' I never thought about or realized how much I feel the drive to prove I'm right until my husband pointed it out a couple of months ago. When someone insists they are right and I know for a fact that I'm the one who's right I'll go to great lengths to prove that this is so. It drives me bonkers when I know I'm right and someone tells me I'm wrong. I will give myself credit for recently modifying this behaviour with my elderly clients--I'll open my mouth then clamp it shut, thus saving my energy. So I'll just watch myself more carefully. The ego is a powerful thing, isn't it?!
