I have been listening to your podcast for about a month now. I am using them to keep myself thin from the inside. I am small now thanks to a very strict "diet" that I was on for 3 years. I have gone from over 200 to under 130. Now I am starting to embrace Intuitive eating, which is eat what ever you and your body wants and stop when you began to get full. Before listening to your podcast I would have said "yah in your dreams!!!". But since listening to your tapes I know I can make the transition and stay my small size. It's all about acceptance and using my silent observed to checkmate my ego/food addict. The other night I wanted Ice cream so I accepted that and went and got some and sat there and enjoyed watching myself enjoy and eat the Ice Cream...yes all of it. It was kinda like having an out of body experience as I ate it. I did not worry about stopping myself or trying to talk the ego out of it, I just watched...secure in the knowledge that in the not so distant future my silent observed will be stronger than my ego and soon intuitive eating will be a "piece of cake" for me. lol (pun intended)

Hi again Robert. Thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my
> long-winded question. Your efforts are GREATLY appreciated. You
> encourage my sense of hope and curiosity on my path. I want to make
> sure I understood your advice correctly. I understood you to say that
> we should accept the resistance that we have and in this way we won't
> be engaging in resisting the resistance of the ego. So if I do see
> resistance to an experience, instead of forcing myself to accept the
> particular experience, I should just accept my resistance to it? And
> positive change will come of it's own accord? I hope my question is
> clear. Thank you kindly for your response. Sincerely, Seda.

Reply from Robert:
Exactly! When we resist we are using the mind that created the problem to
solve it. When we just accept it, no judging and no condemning we are
simply observing the activity of the mind. Because all of this is only
activity of the mind and if there is no reaction to the event then the
event will eventually dissipate. When we resist we perpetuate the
activity. In other words we allow "it" to simply be. What we are doing
here is something completely different, a new activity if you will called
non-action.

Hi Robert,
Wondering if you had any insight on our negative energy/thoughts and how it relates to one's health, attitude, and well-being, among other things.
Thanks for these podcasts. I allow you to keep spreading this wealth. ;) Jill

Hi Robert:

I had a question about the concept of acceptance. I will use an example to help ask my question. Say, if a person were in an abussive relationship and practicing the concept of acceptance, to rectify the situation they have to do more than accept it - I think you would agree. How do you move from acceptance to action to resolve an injustice ? Other examples would be racism & governmental, political, and social injustices.

I enjoy your podcasts and thank you for helping me explore my inner world where I typically haven'y spent a lot of time!

Sincerely,

Julie

First we must fully accept the situation completely and without judgment. We must accept things as they are and take full responsibility for everything that is occurring in our lives. Then and only then will we be able to move into change. Please listen to the podcast series on acceptance to help you further understand this concept. Thanks for listening and writing in.

Peace
